Otavalo

The Otavalo region can be regarded as a central meeting point in the Andes, at 110km north of Quito and at 2.530 metres above sea level. Located in the heart of the Imbabura Province, Otavalo is famous for its wonderful weavings and world renowned indigenous market.

This region is filled with numerous rivers and lakes which adorn the beautiful local landscape. Two of the most wonderful lakes in this area are Lake San Pablo and Lake Mojanda, great spots for tourists to visit and enjoy.
